Our Mission
Fund for Global Health is a non-partisan, non-profit aid and advocacy organization. Our activities include supporting frontline health service delivery innovations in Africa and working with Congress on policy improvements and funding for U.S. global health aid programs. Our driving mission is to have the maximum possible health benefit provided to vulnerable communities.
Our Work on Rural Healthcare
Providing rural communities with access to high-quality health care is a key priority for the Fund for Global Health. Rural communities in developing countries often face severe health care constraints, we are working to change this by developing innovative strategies for health care delivery to rural communities.
Our Recent Advocacy Work
Focus On Service Delivery
To estimate how much U.S. global health aid funds actual service delivery to individual patients, Fund for Global Health conducted research into five U.S. disease programs.
Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Delivery
Comprehensive primary health care, the first point of contact for people with health concerns, is the foundation of a strong health system.
Accountability in U.S. Global Health Aid
USAID has many indicators for measuring what goes into a project and what is achieved. The chosen indicators don’t all measure important health outcomes, however, and the whole system could be simplified with fewer indicators that focus more effectively on health outcomes.
